Hello, 

Thank you so much to everyone who has completed their BackerKit survey! As a reminder, if you have not already submitted yours, this is an essential step to ensure that we can get your rewards to you, not a marketing device. This is, among other things but most importantly, how we get your address, so please do complete it if you have not already done so. You can find the Pledge Manager here and access it with the email address you used to back the project on Kickstarter. 

We also wanted to let you know that while the survey for existing backers will remain open to allow you to make updates to your order until closer to shipping, we will be closing the pre-order store for those who missed the Kickstarter campaign in about a week or two. For anyone who has not already backed it, this will be the last chance to get the discounted pre-order rate of $235 per set. So please make sure to let your friends, colleagues, etc. who might be interested know that this is the time to pre-order. The pre-order store is here. 

After the pre-order store closes, the Armax reprints will only be available at full retail price of $270 per set.

BackerKit Surveys and a New Add-on Option

Hello everyone,

You should all be receiving your BackerKit surveys (emails which will link you to the BackerKit Pledge Manager) over the course of next week, starting Monday. This is how we confirm your rewards and how we know where to send your stuff, so it's crucial that you complete it.

The survey, in addition to asking you to provide your shipping address and confirm the items you ordered during the campaign, will give you the opportunity to add on more items if you want, including more copies of the books and the add-ons from the campaign, as well as some other Helios House titles and products. We have also added one new Armax offering that we think is really special. 

As many of you know, current Armax designer extraordinaire Justin Baird creates a set of beautiful silhouettes of all of the featured firearms for each issue of the modern Armax. We are offering Armax backers a set of four premium 6 x 10 inch letterpress art prints of these silhouettes, one for each issue in Vols. VII and VIII, printed by hand on premium paper at a small family-owned press in Scotland and signed by Justin. Though these have a retail value of $20 per print, we are offering the full set to you for just $50. These are a minimum-order item, so they will only be produced if there are at least 25 sets sold. If we do not reach the minimum, you will not be charged. 

The surveys will remain open for a little while, but we really appreciate your quick response to them, as getting the addresses and your add-on orders quickly helps us to plan out our logistics for the production and fulfillment of your orders. You will still be able to make changes to your order and your address information until we lock the surveys—and we'll notify you in advance before we do that—so it's perfectly OK to submit your information now and update later if needed. You will also not be charged for any additional items you may add on until we have locked the surveys. 

If you don't receive your survey right away, no need to worry! We will send another update after everything has gone out letting you know how to contact us if you have not received yours.

We are so grateful that each of you helped us to meet our funding goal, and several stretch goals, and we are really excited we get to bring you these beautiful remasters of the original volumes of Armax. And we'll bring you along with us as we work to get everything made, using updates like these to share both useful information and just cool behind-the-scenes content.

What happens now?

Now, we know you all have a lot of questions about what happens next, and we have information to share on that subject. We will of course remain hard at work in the coming weeks and months producing all of the journals - taking new photographs and updating graphics and layouts and making sure we are securing all of the papers and other materials we need before we send everything to be printed - as well as making all of the other goodies, but we wanted to let you know what to expect on your side. We will keep you informed via these Kickstarter updates as the project unfolds, but here is a quick overview of what will be happening soon:

First, you will be charged by Kickstarter soon if you have not been already. If there is an issue—a typo in your card number, you used an account that has since expired or been closed, etc.—you will receive a notice from Kickstarter. Please keep an eye out to make sure that if you get such a notice, you are able to address the issue.

Next, you will receive an email from BackerKit, a company we are working with that assists in the fulfillment process. This email will prompt you to complete a "survey" and contains a link to that end. This is not an opinion survey or market research or anything like that; it is an essential questionnaire that provides us with key information like your address. If you don't complete it, we won't know where to send your stuff! If you're anything like us, this email will be buried in your inbox within a day or two, so we recommend filling it out as soon as possible—you will be able to make changes later if needed. The emails from BackerKit will be sent in a staggered fashion over the course of about a week during the next couple of weeks. We will send another update to let you know when they start to go out, as well as one to let you know when they have all been sent.

Miss something during the campaign?

BackerKit will also allow you to manage your pledge, meaning you will be able to upgrade to a higher Kickstarter reward tier or add on additional items. As access to the pledge manager is only for Kickstarter backers, all items will still be offered at the original Kickstarter backer rates. We will have more details on this process in coming updates, but we can tell you that when you get into BackerKit to manage your pledge, you will still be able to add on more copies of the Armax reprints, more art prints of Clymer's "The Gold Train," more ex libris sets, more bookmarks—again, all at the original Kickstarter backer prices—and we might have some additional goodies to offer as well, so keep an eye out for these updates!
